Cornish B&B in Polruan-by-Fowey

Welcome to our family run Bed and Breakfast in South Cornwall. OK, so the three kids and the dog don’t contribute too much to the running of the place but they certainly add to the charm.

We have been running our house as a B&B for six years and are members of the Quality in Tourism award scheme. Over the years we've worked to improve Hormond House and are thrilled to have recently added a Visit England Silver Award to our Four Star rating.

Hormond House is situated in the heart of the charming village of Polruan-by-Fowey which in turn is in the heart of Daphne du Maurier country. The village boasts two pubs, the Lugger and the Russell Inn, two shops, a cafe and a regular ferry service across the harbour to Fowey.

Polruan is the ideal place to base yourself for exploring the South West Coast Path, enjoying Fowey Regatta Week, exploring the countryside that inspired Rosamunde Pilcher's Shell Seekers, or attending the Daphne Du Maurier Festival. We’re not even that far to the Eden Project!

We so enjoy meeting all our guests and sharing this idyllic spot.
